Default Concept Skill - engulfing flames

this idea just kinda came to me

Engulfing Flames(elite)
Enchantment(fire magic)
15E 3 second cast time 15 second recharge
for 10 seconds you are enchanted with engulfing flames. while enchanted with Engulfing flames you suffer -7 degen and all attacks against you fail. if any foe becomes adjacent to you they are set on fire for 1..3 seconds. if the foe is adjacent when burning ends they are set on fire for an additional 1...3 seconds. when engulfing flames ends all nearby foes are set on fire for 1...3 seconds.

i know its a long skill description but tell me what you think ^^

The duration should not be variable.

Sounds a lot like Burning Speed, just more energy intensive, longer cast, and longer recharge. Burning speed only sets you on fire for 5 seconds, and gives up to 8 seconds of burning when it ends. The only bonus I see to your skill is that when it ends, nearby foes are set of fire and not just adjacent.

All in all, I think it is too complicated and conditional for what the outcome might be.

So basically you set the enemy team on fire by burning yourself and running around in circles.....not a good concept no matter the numbers.

hum your right ill change that and yea basiclly this isnt magic so much as a drunk idiot running around on fire catching other people on fire but i do see some potential uses

name is a rip off of Magic the Gathering / WoW skill.

so no.

Also, you might want to think over the nonremovable part. Shouts and chants are nonremovable and they caused quite a stir.

Maybe it could reduce/prevent damage dealt to the person, but would probably need to be made an elite.

Engulfing Flames (Elite)

May be a little overpowered.

ok a few things first i ment the burning on you cannot be removed cause its not really a condition its the enchantment. second curse you i like your idea better and if i put that in i think i will make it elite. and i love your insperation lol

and about the name i play magic and i do recall an engulfing flames.... and my step bro plays wow and i still dont recall an egulfing flames.... i just came up with the name on the spot

Balthazar's Aura + Engulfing Flames + Poisoned Heart
Have a monk cast Balthazar's Aura on you and you can use Poisoned heart and Engulfing Flames. Now that's and interesting combo.
Though the Dervish can easily top that.

yea this is like mist form with burning but the reason it is still balanced is cause the burning is on you too so yea..... but that would be a very vicious combo heh.... definetly need a monk to heal yea >.< or breeze lol

well, I see abuse with this skill already. Pile on the enchants (this being one of them) and top it off with mystic regeneration to counter the enchantments -7 degen effect, and you have an unstoppable force.... ok, not quite... but it's pretty scary to think about

lol not really unstopable i mean spells can kick your ass and it only causes burning not mega damage
